HERE COMES THE SUN is an impressive 89m 291.9ft fully custom Northern European yacht that stands out for its craftsmanship and scale. After an extensive rebuild in 2021 that introduced a refreshed exterior, an extended profile, and a collection of award winning upgrades, she now offers an experience that blends classic sophistication with every comfort a superyacht owner could wish for. She can host as many as 20 guests in an environment of exceptional luxury.
This yacht remains the largest vessel ever delivered by Amels, featuring exterior styling by Tim Heywood and interiors by Winch Design. The major rebuild carried out at the Amels facility in 2020 and 2021 added a 6m 19.7ft extension, a complete repaint, and a long list of improvements. Her transformation earned her the Best Rebuilt Yacht title at the World Superyacht Awards 2022.
The bridge deck now includes two new VIP suites that each feature balconies stretching 12m 39.4ft. On the main deck aft, a 7 by 4m 23 by 13.1ft counter current pool has been added, positioned flush with the deck to keep the views uninterrupted. The bulwarks were lowered and new handrails installed to enhance sightlines. The sun deck was lengthened to accommodate a helipad suitable for a Bell 429 or H145, and a touch and go helipad sits forward on the foredeck.
Her redesigned beach club spans 15 by 8m 49.2 by 26.3ft and includes fold down sea terraces on both sides along with an expanded swim platform equipped with hydraulic bathing steps. This space features a sit up wet bar, relaxed lounge seating, and comfortable cocktail areas. Just forward is a full wellness centre with a sauna, steam room, plunge pool, shower, dayhead on starboard and a massage room and beauty salon on port.
Additional conveniences include a glass elevator that travels from the lower deck to the sun deck and step free access from the lower deck lobby to the beach club. The private owners deck offers a forward facing bedroom with wraparound views and direct access to walkaround sidedecks and the foredeck. His and hers bathrooms and dressing rooms complement the layout, and both the lounge and study feature access to balconies. The saloon includes a bar as well as a dining room that opens to the aft terrace.
The sun deck holds a raised jacuzzi bordered by sunpads along with a sit up wet bar beneath the hardtop, a dayhead, and a variety of gym equipment. The main deck includes a dedicated cinema and seven guest suites, four of which can connect to form two VIP suites. All aft deck areas from the main deck to the bridge deck are fitted with glass windbreak panels to enhance comfort.
Twin Caterpillar diesel engines rated at 3,000hp each deliver a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 13.5 knots, with an impressive range reaching 10,000 nautical miles at an economical pace. Quantum zero speed stabilisers ensure stability at anchor.
The lower deck garage is equipped with shell doors on both sides and holds two custom Yachtwerft Meyer tenders, a 10.5m 34.5ft limousine tender, a 9.2m 30.2ft D Rib, and a 7m 23ft Super Air Nautique G23. The collection of water toys includes SeaDoos, SeaBobs, an inflatable marina, and a waterslide.
